The result

In the face of nearly $1 million in PBM opposition spending, bipartisan majorities in the Arkansas Legislature approved the nation’s first ban on PBMs holding pharmacy licenses; Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed it in April 2025. It was a historic victory for patients and local pharmacies.

Meanwhile, in Louisiana, Ghidotti partnered with state advocates to rein in corporate middlemen, providing grassroots support and strategic guidance that built momentum for reform. This effort will culminate in the next legislative session, where the PBM fight will continue.
