Will you be the next rockstar Public Relations Account Executive on the Ghidotti team?
Do You
have what it takes?
Ghidotti Communications is looking for a Public Relations Account Executive with three to four years of experience who has mastered the fundamentals and is ready to take real ownership of client work.
You will work directly with our Media Relations Manager and Account Supervisor, running day-to-day media relations for assigned accounts: developing pitch calendars, writing and placing stories, managing content calendars and keeping client work on schedule. You will also write blogs and e-newsletters, plan and run social campaigns, help execute client events and begin guiding our Public Relations Specialist and interns.
What
We really want
1.
Someone we can laugh with.
2.
Someone we can depend on.
3.
Someone we can learn from and do great work with.
Who We Hope To Find
This role is for someone who has spent a few years in PR, has placements and client work to show for it, and wants a seat where their ideas carry weight. You are comfortable picking up the phone with a reporter, you can run a content calendar without being reminded, and you are ready to be the person a client hears from most weeks.
The best fit is someone who enjoys variety: several clients, several service lines and a day that rarely goes exactly as planned. If you want to keep sharpening your craft while taking on more responsibility, and you like the idea of helping newer teammates come up behind you, we want to talk!
What You Bring
- Approximately 3–4 years of experience at a PR agency or in-house communications team, with demonstrated results in media relations and hands-on experience in content creation and/or social media management.
- Strong writing and editing. Your copy needs a light touch, not a rewrite, and you can make a busy reporter care about a client story in three sentences. We will ask you to show us during the interview process.
- Placements you are proud of, and reporter relationships you have built yourself, ideally in Arkansas and the Heartland region.
- Experience managing multiple client workstreams and content calendars with limited supervision.
- Sound news judgment and a habit of following the news daily.
- Comfort with AI tools. We use Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Agility every day, and the people who thrive here direct those tools well and verify what they produce.
- Command of AP Style.
- An interest in helping develop junior team members.
Your Role on Our Team
- Develop and manage quarterly pitch calendars for assigned clients
- Write pitches, releases, op-eds, backgrounders and briefing books
- Pitch and place stories in local, regional, trade and national media
- Serve as a day-to-day contact for clients on assigned accounts
- Manage content calendars across media relations, blog and social
- Plan and execute social media campaigns and report on results
- Write blogs, e-newsletters, website copy and marketing materials
- Plan and run client events: media tours, luncheons, grand openings, trade shows, etc.
- Monitor coverage and prepare results reports for clients
- Help guide our Public Relations Specialist and interns
- Contribute to strategic plans, brainstorms and new business research
Where This Role Can Lead
Ghidotti has a written career path, and we invest in the people who grow with us. The Account Executive who delivers consistent results, manages work independently and helps develop the team is positioned to advance toward Senior Account Executive, where you lead client projects, serve as primary contact on multiple accounts and manage budgets.
