Ghidotti, a Little Rock-based public relations and content marketing agency, has earned a PR Daily’s Media Relations Award in the Media Relations Video category for 2022. The national recognition celebrates innovative strategies that secured media coverage as well as the people and teams that excelled in crafting those engaging stories. Ghidotti won the award for its Opportunity Starts Here video, part of an integrated media relations and content marketing campaign to promote hiring on behalf of local McDonald’s owner-operators across five Southern states. Ghidotti was the only Arkansas public relations agency to receive a 2022 PR Daily Media Relations Award.
“Not only does this recognition place our work alongside national brands and agencies such as Intel Corporation, Ernst & Young LLP, UPS and Golin, but it also shows that truly innovative, strategic work in our field is happening right here in Arkansas,” said Ghidotti CEO Natalie Ghidotti. “I could not be more proud of this team and the incredible communications work they do to deliver results for our clients.”
The McDonald’s Opportunity Starts Here communications campaign developed by Ghidotti was an out-of-the-box, regional response to the hiring pressures businesses have faced nationally over the past few years. It featured local McDonald’s crew members in Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi and Texas sharing the opportunities for personal and career growth they found at their local McDonald’s. Ghidotti collaborated with Little Rock cinematographer and documentary filmmaker Jeff Dailey to bring the project to life.
“Ghidotti set themselves apart from an outstanding field of entrants. Their work was exceptional and displayed their innovative strategies for achieving success,” said Brendan Gannon, senior marketing manager for awards programs at Ragan Communications. “Congratulations, Ghidotti. We look forward to your continued success.”
In addition to the Media Relations Video Award, Ghidotti also earned two Honorable Mentions. One was in the Press Event or Media Tour category for the work Ghidotti did to help the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra successfully announce the campaign and reveal plans for the future Stella Boyle Smith Community Music Center in Little Rock’s East Village neighborhood. The second Honorable Mention was in the Brand Messaging or Positioning Campaign for the broader McDonald’s Opportunity Starts Here campaign. Ragan Communications and PR Daily, which organize the annual media relations awards, revealed the winners as the best media relations work in the country for 2022 during a Dec. 12 luncheon at the Yale Club in New York City.
